Grand Slam Court Care is a new brand run by the crew behind All Pro Court Maintenance.
A court doesn't fail all at once. It wears down a little every week, in ways you don't notice until they're expensive.
| Area | Left alone | On a twice-monthly schedule |
|---|---|---|
Surface wear
|
Sand, grit, and leaves get ground into the coating with every match. The texture wears smooth and the color goes flat. | Loose grit is lifted off before foot traffic grinds it in. Texture and color hold. |
Stains
|
Bird droppings, sap, and berries sit for weeks, bake in the sun, and soak into the acrylic. Some never come out. | Caught within two weeks, while they still lift. |
Slick spots
|
Shaded corners and damp areas grow a thin film of mildew or algae — slick underfoot and easy to miss until someone slips. | Cleared before it takes hold, so shaded corners keep their grip. |
Water & cracks
|
Debris along the fence line and in drains holds water on the court. Low spots leave dirt rings, and hairline cracks go unnoticed until they need real repair. | Edges and drains stay clear, standing water is squeegeed off, and someone who knows courts walks yours twice a month. If a crack or low spot shows up, you hear about it while it's small. |
Your court will never look better than it does right now. Maintenance can keep it there — it can't bring it back. Once a stain has baked into the acrylic or grit has worn the texture smooth, cleaning only gets you so close. Start while there's nothing to fix, and every visit is just keeping a new court new.
Sun fades every court. Neglect is what makes it happen early.
Resurfacing is one of the most expensive things you'll ever do to a court, and it takes the court out of play while it's done. Maintenance won't mean you never resurface. It's the difference between resurfacing because it's time and resurfacing because the court was neglected.
Not sure where your court stands? We'll walk it with you and give you a free Court Health Check — what's cosmetic, what's structural, and what can wait.
A court-safe low-pressure water broom lifts built-up sand, debris, ball fuzz, and bird droppings off the surface — then a squeegee pass takes the standing water off with it. Never a pressure washer, which strips the silica sand out of your finish and shortens the life of the court.
Every visit includes windscreen cleaning, cobweb removal, net and post wipe-downs, leaf sweeping, weed pulling along the fence line, and worn strap replacement. The court isn't finished until everything around it is too.
Twice-monthly and monthly schedules. On a regular cadence nothing gets a chance to set into the surface texture, every visit is a light visit, and the court holds a standard a one-off clean can't reach. Set it once — we handle the rest.
Your court's playing surface is an acrylic coating loaded with silica sand — that sand is what gives it grip and what wears out first. A pressure washer blasts it out. It looks clean for a month and costs you years off the surface.
We use a low-pressure water broom with a water-and-vinegar solution, targeted spot treatment where it's needed, and a squeegee pass to clear standing water. It lifts the loose top layer without touching what's underneath.
We also tell you when it isn't a cleaning problem. If your low corner is a grading or drainage issue, we'll say so — that's not our job, and you'd want to know.
Grand Slam Court Care is a father-son business. My father has spent fifteen years building All Pro Court Maintenance into one of San Diego's established court resurfacing operations — roughly eighty courts under active care. Grand Slam is the maintenance side of that work, brought to Orange County.
A court has a ceiling on how good it can look, and that ceiling drops the longer it goes unmaintained. Regular cosmetic care is the cheapest thing you will ever do for a surface that costs six figures to build and tens of thousands to resurface.
We clean and maintain. We don't resurface, and we'll tell you honestly when that's what you actually need.
